From the North End

The north-end trail section from Taseko Lake Lodge to Warner Pass is one of BC’s finest back country. Travellers can start in Nemiah Valley heading south to Taseko Lodge. You’ll need to contact Taseko Lodge in advance for transport with a jetboat over Taseko River.

The trail follows along Taseko Lake all the way to South Taseko crossing many streams and ravines. Communities to the northwest are working to establish a CMHT connection through their region. At many points on the trail, you could catch sight of grizzly bears, black bears, moose, mountain sheep and goat, deer and cougar.

The trail is biologically diverse with many wild flowers to be enjoyed as well as a combination of pine, aspen and spruce forests and open grassy slopes. Black bears can frequently be sighted in the landscape as they roam about in early morning and evening looking for a share of the many edibles.

From the south end of Taseko Lake the trail heads south and upward into the alpine for an even more stunning mountain terrain on your way to Warner Pass.
